Are Psychological and Ecological Well-Being
Compatible? The Role of Values, Mindfulness, and
Lifestyle ~ This paper published in the Social Indicators
Research Journal and authored by Kirk Warren Brown
and the Forum's own Tim Kasser "offers clues to a
sustainable way of life that enhances both personal and
collective well-being."

Are Shorter Work Hours Good for the Environment ~ This
report published by the Center for Economic and Policy
Research compares the European and U.S. models of
labor productivity and energy consumption and finds that
a decrease in hours worked translates into positive
environmental benefits.

Finding Alternatives to Materialism ~ This is a
chronological summary of the notes from the Positive
Psychology Center's meetings of social science experts
asking what they might do to "help provide alternatives to
