jennifer white ~ executive director
Jennifer White has an eclectic background in physics and
psychology and is the Founder of Root Systems Institute, which
seeks to educate, empower, and inspire individuals and
organizations to make sustainable choices that are in alignment
with their inner purpose and which support the health of our
communities and the planet. She is also the Co-Founder and
Director of Education for the Green Heart Institute which created
GreenHeartGuide.net and is developing the Low Carbon Lifestyle
Tracking program, a web-based educational tool for helping people
reduce their environmental impact and “live sustainably from the
heart.” Jennifer shares a simple life in Colorado with her partner
Jimmy, where they also sing professionally as the acoustic duo
"Sferes & White." Their first CD “The View from Here” was released
in October 2005 and they were recently invited to perform on
Garrison Keillor’s “A Prairie Home Companion.” Their "Eco-
Tones" presentations are a fun and entertaining combination of
music and education, which address issues such as
sustainability, simplicity, community, interdependence, and the
good life.
